Betty Schriver is a Canadian artist who uses colour in interesting ways to portray the emotions the environment evokes. She is self-taught, however loosely uses that term, as she believes in life long learning and often partakes in art workshops from some of her favourite artists. She is inspired by the vast variety of Canadian landscapes and loves to paint the places she’s seen and lived, using a style that crosses between representational and abstract. Finding the beauty in simple things in life and showing their glory through paint is something Betty believes captures the emotions of others who can relate to her experiences. Her travels, including snowbird trips to Arizona, provides for a wonderful array of new scenes and textures.
